What band did you last go to see ?
And how would you rate them ?
Were they as good as expected ?
I saw Ash last night, playing at The Tiv near to me, which can hold about 1000 people
They can still rock with the best of them, and for a three piece outfit have a great sound
Back stage passes in no way influenced my critic
8/10 |

I think the last gig I paid to get in to was The Wonderstuff ELGM 20th anniversary gig in Birmingham in about 2009 (Mr Crystal 'Darcy' Wheels will probably furnish me with exact date as he went too ).
It was The Stuffies, it was a celebration gig, it was rammed- it couldn't have been any better |

Think I'm on about 10 gigs including the secret affair and the big day out. He's still his usual grumpy arsed self a lot but does seem to have mellowed with age --and maybe the loss of half the original band
It has been know for him to smile though- wonder if its anything to do with his rather tasty mrs |

I used to see them whenever they played in London as my brother was a friend of the bass player. Dingwalls in Camden was a particular favourite. Do you remember the welsh band that supported them a lot , the darling buds ? |

I had quite a liking for Andrea Darling Bud, as well as her 'rivals' Tracey Primative and the rather feisty Wendy James |

We were spoilt back then. The poptresses if today don't seem to have the same allure. |

I did literally almost walk in to Rihanna last week, as much as she's a diva with some ropey songs- I'd certainly not kick her out of bed- she looked damn fine |

Had the displeasure of doing his recent tour- without doubt the worst gig I've ever had the misfortune to witness- I've seen better at karaoke nights |

Recently spent an hour listening to a random bloke playing a tribute to the works of Bob Dylan, Donovan and Simon and Garfunkel Donovan (vocals, guitar and harmonica) down in Haymarket Metro Station Newcastle where the natural acoustics are amazing…
and I loved it..... |

I've got a ticket for that, I've seen him twice before and Pink Floyd 3 times. I'd love to see them perform together, Gilmour and Mason would struggle to pass themselves off as floyd on their own.
Last gig was Glastonbury so Mumford and sons was the last band I've seen, a hour or so of my life I'll never get back, a friend was desperate to see them though. Faux folk. The atmosphere for the Rolling Stones was amazing though, anything after that was going to seem a bit dull. |

Damien Rice at Wolverhampton Civic..
Over an hour late on stage with no Lisa Hannigan. He shouted/screeched through an abysmal set... and looked like he needed a bath.
SO disappointed. 0/10 Waste of ticket price |

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at Glastonbury, fucking awesome, no way was I hanging around to see the bag of shite that is Mumford and Sons after that, so we went for a wander around Shangri-La instead !
Next gig, Camp Bestival next week...Richard Hawley, Ash, The Levellers etc.
Got a press pass and a plus one and the grand kids are free anyway, so a cheap weekend away |

Yes I most definately there. Also come up there for the HUP gig wich really was ace.
Miles is the only original member left though Mark Mccarthy And erica have been in the band for best part of a decade now though.
Miles has mellowed considerably, being loved up with erica clearly agrees with him. He also states that in it's 25 year history this is the best line up and certainly the most focused. I'm just glad that they are writing new material and not just doing greatest hits anymore |

Status Quo in Glasgow, the reformed Frantic Four original line-up which I had assumed I would never get to see. I was like a four year old in a grown man's body according to my brother's, just loved it. |

"Meatloaf at the O2 on my Birthday ........ such a shame he has retired from touring 10/10 "
He's retired as he is a bloody awful singer (as well as having to nip off for oxygen every few songs) |

We saw him at O2 and agree it was a brilliant night.
His Dark Side tour was fantastic too.
"
Is he doing all the singing on The Wall tour or getting help with tapes (and some dodgy lip-synching) like he did on the Dark Side tour ?! |

He couldn't walk up 6 steps unaided- my dad is in his 70's and was up a 30ft ladder on the roof with me recently.

no, i was at his recent tour behind stage- it was hit or miss if he actually made it to the end of the gig- and it really was just about the worst gig i've been to (and i'm at well over 500 gigs) |

"Black stone cherry at download this year, they were amazing 10/10"
Seen black stone cherry a few times, they're awesome.
Last gig was Buckcherry at the cockpit in Leeds, the band were good but Josh Todd had done a little too much Peruvian marching powder so it wasn't his best performance. |

Last gig was Huey (from the Fun Lovin Criminals) and the New Yorkers. It was the most chilled out gig ever, just a bunch of life long friends having a jam. I only went as I had won tickets
The last paid for gig was Halestorm in February-ish. It was awesome. Lzzy Hale is the very epitome of a rock chick with a voice second only to Amy Lee |

"Best gig, either Pink Floyd earls court 1994 or AC/DC in 2009 at hampden"
Was supposed to be seeing them on the second night but as the seating collapsed on the first night ended up being the opening night. Gilmour assured everyone the seating was ok so everyone stood up and jumped up and down on them.
God it's nearly 20 years... My first proper gig was Floyd at Wembley in 1988 £16. Still got the ticket somewhere. |
