okay.... first of all no way condoning under age drinking in any way, shape or form...
okay... so the kids round here seem to be drinking white cider...
in East London when we were kids (14,15,16 ect) the drinks de jour we use to take to parties would be:
Thunderbird (red or blue... it didn't matter)
Two Dogs (alcoholic lemonade at its best)
Mad Dog 20/20.... lush!!! lol
now we were talking about this at work and it seemed it must have been a regional thing as no one else had any idea of what these drinks were (one other person had heard of mad dog 20/20)
so what were the underage drinks of choice when you guys were growing up???

with the moon n stars somewhere in gtr manc |
Thunder birds, 20/20 were mainly drank by my older brother.
My choice used to be White Lightening cider or hooch (alcoholic lemonade) but Hooch and other alchopops were always harder to buy from off licences when underage in my experienc.
The first time I got really d*unk was on Blue Bols and lemonade. It made my puke blue
I have no idea what teens drink nowadays. |

literally anything we could get our hands on,
hooch, md20/20, white lightning, strongbow, lambrini, reefs, smirnoff ice, wkd's, whiskey, rum, vodka
and normally end up mixing it in a few mcdonalds cups then sharing it around |

Oh my..... Blast from the past.... Thunderbird - yes!
Mad dog 20/20 - yes... But only strawberry and kiwi
Add into that white lightening and k cider and that just about covers it! I'm amazed my liver is still functioning!
Squames x |

That was before going out.... Once we hit the pubs/clubs it would be blue caracao, archers, dubonet or dry martini and lemonade. Jeez I had taste in my younger days! |

Dads home brew and vodka and orange were first drinking memories.
Bad memories of ferry crossing on first Amsterdam trip with mates aged 17 after drinking a bottle of Cherry Brandy
Distant/vague memories of Snake Bites made with Urbock and White Lightening |

Thunderbirds god awful but sooo cheap at the time. If we were feeling posh we brought Canei wine which I guess was the forerunner to Lambrini. Used to love buying a couple bottles of Canei heading to Hyde park and going rowing feeling all ladi dadi :D |

Cherry B was my fave, Pernod and blackcurrent and we'd all pitch in and buy a bottle of vodka from an off licence that didn't ever ask our age, and we'd just buy s then and obviously top it up |

I discovered Boots Home Brew kits at a rather early age (think I was 12 when I made my first batch) and, the more 'expert' I got, the more, well, er.... 'punch' you got out of it. Made one batch of what was supposed to be yer average bitter..... but which measured at about 8.0.... Didn't know a lot after the third bottle.... No wonder I had a lot of school mates round my house all the time when they knew a new batch was 'in the offing'... hic!

My taste in drinks hasn't really changed. When I was underage I would drink anything as I knew I was lucky enough to get any. Now that I am a legal age. I still do that when I want to get really d*unk. Although back then I liked my lager up until recently and its turned to cider |

Thunderbirds red label
Stronger than the blue
Had a bottle fell off a wall with my hands in my pocket
Woke up next day rougher than someone off Jeremy Kyle show
And my dad ha bought me another one
Suffice to say as a 15 year old I declined the offer of another bottle !
