Only ever used Paypal for Ebay years ago. Didn't realise you could use it to pay for other things Doh !! X

I use paypal for quite a few sites and have never been charged a fee.

i use paypal for Amazon, Ebay & a few clothing sites..

its a new option with Travelodge. Its a faff typing in bank card details so just thought id use Paypal but id never been charged for the privilege before

A lot of places are now charging for paying by credit card, 1.5% roughly give or take, been charged a few times, never for using paypal as yet

most sites have the PayPal fee deducted from their payments, but there are one or two that expect you to pay for the privilege

Why not just use a debit card?

You do often have to lay an online booking fee, but debt cards are free

Because i couldnt be bothered with the faff of typing in all my card details.. travelodge are sneaky buggers.

Wanted to charge me £150 for a smoking fine,, and were going to take it from my debit card. Luckily i ended up with a new bank card so hoping that paypal doesnt hand over my current account details.
