Has anyone bought anything from a chinese website? (I keep seeing Focalprice on HUKD)

I'm looking at tablets for the kid's christmas pressies. And maybe a phone for me

As I understand it, sometimes you will get an identical item to the branded product. It has just come out the back door of the same factory.

I've bought a couple of items and so far have got away with it.

Sometimes it's a cheap and nasty copy that looks right but isn't. Heard recently about a fake smartphone that was crap but looked like the expensive item.

You pays your money and takes your chances.

Not sure I'd take a chance on Christmas pressies for nearest and dearest though

I had seen your posting to that effect and I appreciate your position.

Was trying to say, if you bet the farm on cheap Chinese imports and they turn out to be rubbish, it kinda craps on Christmas and there's no cash left for anything else.

I wouldn't chance it but buy what I could afford from reputable dealers. If you have a problem with these goods I believe you usually have to pay the return postage too.
