Waity Katie and Prince Willy have finally chosen a name

Not Prawn... although King Prawn has a ring to it

Not James, after Harry's dad as rumour had it....

I kinda liked Prince Vince

But they have gone for Algernon... allegedly

I don't think anyone has been racist but do think you are being antagonistic. Mohammed is not a British name it's an Arabic name but the most common name used in the UK by Muslim people. Unlikely William and Kate would opt for it really eh

Living as i do in West Yorkshire, an earlier poster has done a great disservice to the large number of people in this area who have called their son Mohammed and are immensely proud to be classed/categorised and consider themselves British.

The name itself may have arabic origins but don't kid yerself that these people are not British.

I read about Mohammed being the most popular name a couple of years ago. It said its because the younger generation of British Muslims are actually becoming more religious for one reason or another so are all naming their children after the prophet (it also said their are a few variations in the spelling which were accumulated to make the statistic)

So I expect that if a huge percentage of British born children are all being given the same name of course it's gonna end up top of the polls.

I only know one other person in my town with the same name as my son. Imagine if everyone had the same name. School would be confusing. It was bad enough in my class with 3 Samantha's!! Haha x

The 2011 Census included 'National Identity', so that those filling it in could state if they felt themselves to be English, Scottish, Welsh, or Northern Irish.

I don't think anyone has been racist but do think you are being antagonistic. Mohammed is not a British name it's an Arabic name but the most common name used in the UK by Muslim people. Unlikely William and Kate would opt for it really eh

Why can't they use what you call an 'arabic' name? Is it not white enough for you?

Now you're insinuating that I'm being racist. I didn't say they couldn't, they can call him whatever they like, I said it's unlikely that they would call him Mohammed, why would they name their child after the founder of Islamic religion when they are not Muslims?!

Because it would do an enormous amount of good for current anti muslim feelings due to recent events.

So nothing to do with your original argument then?

Nope just another reason why Mohammed would be a great idea for a name. I do apologise for having an opinion. How dare I lol. "

Apology accepted

"I think a typical British name like Mohamed would be appropriate.

What were you saying about a ban earlier ?

I like George too.

Why would I get a ban for suggesting Mohammed? Very common name. Are you being racist?

Falkirk

Well it took me a while, I read the whole lot,

How about .......

George James Dafydd Mohammed Albert Phillip Spencer Austin Dodi Charles Harry Partyboy Stickthisinyournewspaper Cambridge?

I think that satisfies everyone

I suspect that William and Kate have already decided on a name and I hope they enjoy being new parents and winding the bookies up for at least another week

I don't imagine Granny Cammi would be too happy with Spencer.. it was Diana's maiden name after all..

I really do hope they have it in there somewhere, but I doubt it ..

Several certainly bi, Charles I pops to mind. He had numerous "close advisors" and of course there's the belief Elizabeth I was too.

It would be great to have a gay king, a nice rainbow flag on Buck House. The national anthem changed to the YMCA

Edward II favoured piers gaveston and Hugh despenser to the detriment of the country. He was eventually deposed by his wife in favour of their (only) son.

History regards him as bisexual.
