I'm assuming you're talking about the stages of learning.
There is a preponderance of unconscious incompetence in the forum on occasion. Sadly it rarely moves past that stage. |

Would I rather be smart and realise I'm inadequate with much to learn and a life of constantly trying to achieve more, or a life of being blissfully unaware of my self worth and limitations ? Good question though I've never really thought about it |

I disagree. I have seen many examples of bad behaviour caused by stupid and/or incompetent people recognising their limits, especially when they meet someone less stupid/incompetent. But then I do work for the Civil Service |
