Call centres plum a lot of money in to this research. I think the accent of my home land is terrible. Brummies.

Rarely happens though lol

South London

I have a really weird hybrid London/Aussie accent. The Aussie comes out more after a few drinks.

I saw a research paper once, which said that the Leeds accent is the one which is most successful in a call centre.

I heard it was Geordie? Maybe it depends on what you're calling about?

"Either way, it's the NORTHERN accent "

Imagine a call centre where the person on the other end sounded like the lady who finished second in the apprentice!

I'd pull my own ears off.

I don't like any strong accents because I can't understand what they are saying. I think that they think I'm taking the piss because I have to ask them to repeat stuff but I'm just crap with accents. It's my fault not theirs.
