I my self have until I had children been very very slim but now since having children I find myself becoming quite insecure about the way my body looks in flesh without covering up I'm still slim but with that extra curve and some stretch marks I feel quite nervous about showing my full flesh close up. Does any one feel the same and what are peoples thoughts on the way we look xx |

We all get older, and life happens to us.
I try and take care of myself, but then the scars and marks, receding hairline and so.on are just part of who I am
Mind you, I've been 31 for 12 years now
Your body is your life story and like a god book should take time to read |

the best thing to make a person realise that we're all different, slightly imperfect but gorgeous is a naturist club like Eurekas. You realise that there is always someone slimmer/younger etc than you and always someone older/larger etc than you but that we're all in our own way beautiful. |

I don't want to be with anyone who it put off my such things. . Thats why I am honest about my body.. if they want perfection I wish them well in their search. I am what I am.. not for everyone bit quite good for some |

Would also say that you look decidedly leggy for the listed 5ft1 |

When I got together with my now ex gf she had not been naked in front of her husband for years, she even took a bath with a t shirt on - her now bf has not seen her naked and they've been together for two years but I had her posing naked in the park, rolling about in fields of grass and dancing around with abandon ... point of this is that beauty is very much in the eye if the beholder and for every one that turns their nose up at slight imperfections there is another one (or two or three) who is going to love you for it x |

Having had a huge weight issue partly down to myself and medications.
Having lost 8 stone already my skin is loose, I need surgery mainly on the tops of my legs it seems to bother me more than others. I've still got some weight to loose before I can have the surgery. I'm also upfront about it in case someone does have a problem. |

most females who have children, have stretch marks,or a wee scar here or there.
they always seem to feel obliged, prior to getting down and dirty,to warn you of the impending horrors you are about to witness.
hand on heart,i have yet to see either.
so i'm thinking, people who have stretch marks, think they're visible from the moon, whereas to everyone else, they're unseen, even within the proximity of sex. |

I think most women have them and most dont like them but I have never not one heard a man complain about them. as for the bigger hips I always thought of that as a good thing. it looks more feminine and helps give the coveted "curvy" figure. |

more north lincs than mids! |
I don't notice my stretch marks. Like the OP I was tiny before I had my children and I have expanded with each of them.
I also had to have c-sections so I have the tummy which also doesn't bother me. My issue is my legs. I know I should walk more to tone them up but I find it difficult to incorporate it into my day. Once the youngest starts school in September I will be working towards a leaner, healthier me |

Another thing. Larry has always told me how much he loves my curves. He has seen pics of me before children and said that I was too skinny and he would never have started talking to me had I been that person when we met.
Some guys genuinely do like curvy women. It's not just a ploy to get us into bed! lol |

The comments on this thread has made me feel so better about myself. I've lost a few stone, but have wobbly bits that I hate and a few very faint stretch marks that are only really noticeable now and again. I feel quite self conscious about it but find that dressing up in sexy undies hides most of the flaws lol |

Having 3 kids my body isn't what it used to be. I used to be very insecure about how I looked but this site and meets has made me feel differently. Men don't seem to care about the stretch marks or that I don't have the body of a super model. Most of the time I feel good about myself and that I am sexy but like all women have my off days. Just be proud of who you are |

I have write a few stretch marks, result of carrying 2 kids. I can honestly say I don't even notice them.
Overall I'm quite happy with my body, I'm not slim & have lots of lumps & bumps, but its me & I'm content with it. The one thing I hate is my stomach, since having my youngest (she's nearly 2) I don't seem able to shift the weight from my jelly belly & I'm really self conscience of it. |

Life tells it's tale, can honestly say now I am over 50 women under about 35 really don't turn me on as much as women who have lived and have a few battle scars to prove it.
This is a bit of a blow to my ambitions of being a dirty old man though
Also I have been married twice, and had a number of fairly intense relationships between the two, and no woman I have spent time with no matter how beautiful has been happy with 100% of her body 100% of the time. it's the reason they take so long deciding what to wear |

I've had stretch marks since pubity and having a baby. I'm lucky that they are the silvery ones and not bright red, but never in my life have I thought to mention them to anyone. I'm very overweight with a big apron. When I'm meeting I have full pictures on show, now if a guy sees my pictures and messages me, he knows what he's going to get. No matter my size I've never been short of men and I like to think its because they are attracted to me and not any hole is a goal otherwise they wouldn't come back. If sexy underwear rather than naked gives you confidence go for it. I love watching gok won, he's the Saint for the less than perfect woman |

I genuinely don't notice stretch marks on others (from what I'm told, most men don't either)
I find curvy women very sexy (especially nice rounded hips and bum)
Nothing wrong with having a bit of wobble girls!
p.s They're not stretch marks...you're just a tiger that's earned her stripes!

There's a saying that your scars and stretch marks are the road map of your life.
I for one have never understood how women (the OP being a perfect example) can be insecure about their absolutely gorgeous, feminine figures. Guys don't want a straight up and down lady, we all love curves and different shapes and sizes.
One of my guilty pleasures is watching Gok Wan make women feel good about themselves plus I get a cheeky perve at those lovely curvy ladies doing photoshoots in the buff! |

Nothing wrong with anyone who has stretch marks or curves. Its your body and you should be proud of it.
This is just my personal view but i find a lady who is confident with looks and shape more attractive than someone who's constantly trying to achieve what society says is perfection |

its not always about what other people think tho
Some times its about what we think, I don't like being naked, when I have sex I try to stay covered with underwear etc as I just feel more confident if my bellys not on show
Its ok saying sod people who don't like you but what if its you that don't like you?
There are certain things you can change, but stretch marks and the baby belly isn't one of them, some women are lucky that when they have kids their belly goes flat again, after 3 sections mine never will, I went down to a size 10/12 at one point after having my kids but I still had that deflated balloon effect on my stomach |

I don't have stretch marks very lucky not to. I don't have huge hips either just 36 inch .but prefer wider ones .however I had my daughter by c section and then 2 years ago had another operation full hysterectomy and they used c section scar to do this and although its a very fine line it's now 10 inch wide and I'm very very contious it's there ;( and always feel the need to explain it before gettin naked its has floored my self confidence |

you'll never get a flat belly after a section, because they cut thro all the muscle so basically its fucked, after 3 sections I have no chance, no matter how slim I was I would skill have a slack belly, ive done alsorts in the past, dieted, gym, sit ups by the hundrens
sometimes people do use having kids as a excuse, like for being over weight, lets face it having kids isn't an excuse for being big, people who have had kids can diet and loose weight if they want, but once they have cut thro that stomach wall and muscle you'll never have a flat belly again |

"the best thing to make a person realise that we're all different, slightly imperfect but gorgeous is a naturist club like Eurekas. You realise that there is always someone slimmer/younger etc than you and always someone older/larger etc than you but that we're all in our own way beautiful. " that is so true |

"Stretch marks are wonderfully womanly and a super sexy sign of fertility. Big hips can be equally sexy, but not all the time.
Just my opinion...
How are stretch marks a sign of fertility?? "
I guess because she had a baby. Granted it's only an indication of previous womb action, but to some men that is sexy.
Henry VIII for example |

No. I know guys with stretch marks and I'm no scientist but I'm pretty sure men don't have babies |

I am covered in stretch marks and have been since I was 12. I don't have kids, I'm just really prone to them. I've even got them from growing upwards as well as outwards.
No one has ever given a shit, not nearly as much as me. |

I'm a tiny little thing under my covering! I had three enormous babies and lots and lots more water than I should have had so I have stretch marks that start just below my ribs and extend right the way down to halfway down my thighs. Oh and all over my boobs. I've lost about four stone so I have lots of excess flesh that just won't go away too.
I was like you a while back, far too embarrassed to show my stretch marks to anybody else. But you know what, you will meet somebody who won't mind, if they do they aren't worth knowing. Because they're not stretch marks: they're life experience marks. Be proud of your mummy body, don't let anyone tell you it's ever anything less than beautiful.
It's down to self confidence really. I had zero when I started this. Some would say "look at me now!". Shy is one thing I am no longer.
Embrace it, life is too short to hide away. |

"The belt stretch marks that ladies get after pregnancy. Not the general size change ones, but the more severe ones.
Having said that, have been with women who have had 3 kids and are untouched. "
Nope, you can get them without pregnancy too. |

My stretch marks and my tummy in general are big hang ups for me. I'm not huge but I'm not slim. And I've got 3 amazing children to show for them.
I'm starting to realise that most people don't see the flaws we see in ourselves and if they do they view them very differently |

I know. But it's the rapid change in the natal period that causes the deeper ones. It depends on nutrition and how big you get though.
I have seen similar ones on guys who use steroids...around arms and other areas. |

*Sometimes* it's the rapid change in the natal period that causes the deeper ones. You do not have to have been pregnant to get deep or severe ones. |

"So, the general thought is that men like stretch marks "
Personally, I don't dislike them... They don't look unattractive.... They're part of the person and if I've built a connection with a person....some stretch marks will have no impact on my feelings or desires toward them x |

I have a belly, stretch marks and a c section scar. Ill never be toned and unwobbly but guess what? Im happy in my own skin. My scars (there are a few different ones) all serve to remind me of times in my life that I survived. The section scar alone serves to remind me just how amazing my body is. If you feel judged because of your body, tell them to jog on kitty as there will always be someone who will appreciate it |

I'm the same. Men keep telling me when I'm on cam how gorgeous my body is but they don't know what's lurking beneath. |

Stretch marks, scars, wide hips....all these things are a part of the story of your life. When I encounter a woman with stretch marks I do not think "oh, that's not nice". I do think "here is a human being who has lived and experienced things I never can."
Don't worry about the marks. If anyone refuses to play because of them....put that person down as shallow and move on. |
