The Woodentops: Just a children's show, or clever subliminal naturist propaganda..??

Following on from the 'Sooty is an OAP' thread, I am still troubled, many years down the line, about that other little classic of children's programming: The Woodentops.

Did the BBC not realise they had an entire family of topless naturists parading themselves in front of innocent children every Wednesday at 1.45pm.?????

I feel the Savile enquiry should be informed without delay!!!!!!

Yes, and the theme song to that too... "We want muffin"..... well we all know that, but we don't have to go shouting about it from the rooftops, do we....??

Plus Master Bates and Roger the cabin boy.

To be fair it was actually Tom the cabin boy but that's not as much fun.

Of course - that explains everything! I knew that I must have picked up the habit from somewhere!

It must have been all those hours that I spent in front of the tele at such an impressionable age....

And now, well, I just can't help myself..!

And what about Andy Pandy, Looby Lou and Ted in the same basket!!

Disgraceful smut. No wonder I turned out like I did lol x

What with all the glove puppetry, finger puppetry and the thinly disguised fisting all kinds of characters going on in kids programming back, I wonder if BBC actually stood for Broadcasting Buggery Continually.... ??
