When it comes to jobs/tasks/activities around the house and in society, etc. When does a remark cross the line as being a negative comment and when is it realistic? |

I'm on my own so I do all the jobs in the house. I wash the car, mow the lawn, change wall sockets (without getting electrocuted! I'm proud of that one), take the bins out and do the ironing.
I did all these jobs even when my ex lived here...  |

My sister does all the odd jobs - she owns all the power tools. She also does all the cooking and making things like curtains etc. She puts out the rubbish and barbecues. Her husband also puts the rubbish out. He sorts out the washing and puts the clothes away. He'll wash up and clean. He does the muddy boots and the bikes. They split the tasks to those with the interest and best skills for the task. Surely that's what realistic is?
There's no point 'the man' doing the heavy lifting and odd jobs if he's completely incompetent at those tasks. |
