I predict being a Sunderland AFC or Newcastle United supporter will have it’s usual ups and downs this season… and the football they play will probably be a mild distraction from that,,,…… |

I haven't been this excited for the start of the season with SAFC for years. The new squad is pretty good, but could be a car crash with essentially a completely new team of strangers.
As you say Sox old chum, swings and roundabouts with both us and the Mags every season. |

I am not fussed about its return, suspect that when it does I will keep an eye on things but less 'excited' than I have been in years..
must be a grumpy old git..
OP, MOTD is so edited its hardly a true reflection of what goes on in a match..
listening to a game on radio or for those who prefer to pay to watch etc is so different as the good old TV people don't want the 'not nice' stuff on the screen..
sort of spoils the product to have the cheating, swearing and spitting being shown..
obviously time is a constraint etc.. |

Looking forward to new Season, fair play to Cardiff joining up with the Jacks and playing top flight football again.
Just glad we've got Billy Davies back at the City Ground. Will also be funny seeing Direby playing in Red. |

I see now that Papiss Cisse is refusing to wear the new Newcastle strip because they are now sponsored by Wonga citing religeous grounds as he is a Muslim.
Two other teammates who are also Muslim are quite happy to wear the strip.

Billy the Clown, doh! But Florist won't see the Super Rams in red as their stylish new burgundy away kit will clash at Florist so default to BLACK n WHITE, baby, yeah |

Well after drawing 5 all in the end of season game, the baggies are hoping for better things to come.
I always used to watch games on sky and listen to sound on BBC WM local radio to get all the facts. It got quite hard at times to keep up |

Being an odd-fellow supporter of Sunderland and Newcastle, I’ll be happy to see both sides qualify for Europe and win one domestic trophy each this coming season,,,,,,,
But I have this nagging doubt lurking in the back of my mind which suggests thats probably not going happen…
