you cant be sure it's a he from 3 monthsa old..
thought had a male.. turned out females after a trip to the vets and was egg bound.
couple of expensive injections later (hormones?) she laid over 40 eggs in the nest box we provided..
only once she has laid - they normally injest them - so if it goes off food for a couple of weeks, you may know why
Get this book.. Green Iguana (the ultimate owners manual) its huge like the bible.. but worth every penny! |

Yep dont put your face too close.. if that mouth and those teeth get your nose you will be scared for life..
my son had a 4ft one called trollop .. was a moody git .. but not as bad as the albino python called shitface .. so glad he got rid of them .. enjoy.. ( bearded dragons are nicer,) |

funnist thing ever.. stick it in the bath and watch it swim.. (not too warm thou).
dont fed it spinach - it binds calcium and it need calcium for bone structure. Make sure it has a uva/b lamp and adequate heating lamps as it cant digest food unless it's warm enough - dont use hot rocks.
make sure the lights are out of it's reach too - they love to sit on them - but they end up getting burnt. |
