So these children will think they have achieved something purely by attending a nursery. They will be in for a shock when they start going to real school. |

I think it's ridiculous!
My son didn't go to his high school leavers prom, I just see it as another excuse for parents to try and prove something with their kids. Who can have the most expensive dress, the biggest and flashiest transport to the venue. Whilst the not so fortunate kids go without and get tormented for not having the same things.

I think it's a gd thing. Ours had a little graduation with the hats that they had made and a little certificate. The looks on the kids faces was priceless. They were so happy and was a nice finish to the end of year before moving to the bigger class |

I think you are right, the school disco is now more of a pageant for people to show off. And the parents are showing off twice as much as the children. |

Sometimes.....I'm glad I never had any children! I just couldn't deal with all this oneupmanship and having to bit my lip! |

Sometimes.....I'm glad I never had any children! I just couldn't deal with all this oneupmanship and having to bit my lip! "
We have two children and we have never entertained such things. My son went to his disco/prom on the bus and I drove my daughter to hers. |
