"Do you find it easy to bite your tongue...when you really just want to say something but you know it Will just cause a headache...?? "
Nope. Not anymore say what I mean, mean what I say and if people don't like it... Not my problem... Spent too long keeping quiet.... Plus I prefer biting other things |

most of the time i keep quiet, if its my husband then i always say what i think because i have known him since i was 17. sometimes i think people can tell what you are thinking by the way you look and the way you act. |

Think it all depends how strongly I feel about something. Some comments made on here piss me off so much I can't help but open my mouth, other times I think about what's annoyed my, and if it's their problem or mine. Sometimes it's not worth the public drama or the ban! |

I think what you are saying is so true...if its their issue then I let it carry on being their issue and that is in an everyday context |

A lot of my aggravation comes from some people's characteristics rather than something they have said, so I've kinda accepted that it's just their way and if I don't like it then that's not their fault. If that makes sense |

Sometimes its better not to 'participate' in the problem
Walking away or ignoring it is good for that
Saying that if someone really boils my goat then I will say something - some topics Im passionate about |

makes total sense to me and i guess thats how i feel too. I create initial views and opinions on people and have kinda attempted to be open minded but most of the time i wish i could just switch off from viewing their posts as it just winds ME up..
I know its my issue.
BTW im sure folk feel the same about me, i dont claim to be perfect im just expressing how i feel |

On here I've gotta shut it.
I've been ban hammered once for a good stretch.
In real life?...nope. I'll say it as it is.
If my middle finger gets a boner, it gets a boner. What can I say.
Piss me off and your having it. |

"Do you find it easy to bite your tongue...when you really just want to say something but you know it Will just cause a headache...?? "
Biting your tongue is life's little 'delete text before sending' editing time - what makes you the person you are is the ability to consider the consequences of an action. Watch Jeremy Kyle for examples of what life's like without that edit time

Me personally, yes but I think that's a skill I've learnt through work. Living in a corporate world where you're just a number you learn to stay quiet for job preservation. But of course there are times where it is appropriate to "kick off"!! |

Lol at this thread ! Im constantly told by sam to not say what i really want lol, in real life im quite blatant but always in jest or sarcastic and never mean any offence.
I can say though not biting my tongue has got me in trouble a few times so now i tend to stay quiet unless im really emoted by something |

If you feel the need to make a point about something theres always ways to put it across without making yourself look aggressive
All of this yeah I say what I like and if you don't like it then its your problem just seems completely uneccessary to me,if someone came at me with that attitude my response would be an immediately on the defensive fuck right off gobshite
But approaching something with a bit of tact and diplomacy tends to get a much better result and you've said how you feel |

"Yes, very
Always say how it is..that way you know the last man standing is a friend and not a two faced looser lol "
I agree up to a point. There are situations where saying it how it is has no positive purpose and keeping quiet is the best option but a true friend will always tell the truth when needed. |

I spent years and years biting my tongue, but after years of getting things out into the open with certain help, I feel now that i can say what I want to anybody and even means that if my best friend turns to me and says "What do i look like" I tell her it is suitable or not.
When I was shopping for my wedding dress there was a lady in the shop, a little on the larger side who trying on a meringue of a dress the assistant was going "Oh you look beautiful, it fits you like a glove" As she went off to get the next dress for her to try. I had to say something " Hmmmm excuse me, can i be really honest with you, that dress does nothing for you at all" In my mind i was thinking that maybe that was a step to far, but she smiled at me and said "Thank you" between us we found one that suited her and at half the price as well......
So if you are ever shopping in Essex and someone taps you the shoulder in the dressing room, it could be me and I may not bit my tougne.... Ruby |

I work in an environment where I could tell the General Secretary to fuck off in front of witnesses and nothing said but pulled up and reprimanded for telling a gay member of my staff I liked the shirt he was wearing!!! |

Peeps who know me well rely on me to say it as it is, straight to the point with no messing about.
They know I don't lie, and do not have hidden agendas.
Diplomacy is not my strong point, never was and never will be. |

For that I would be sacked!
I was in the lift with one of my assistants and the Director of Personnel. All I said was lovely colour, is that silk? and touched his arm.
As we were getting out of the lift the Director called me back and said my comments were inappropriate, touching was invasion of privacy and I was leaving myself open to charges of sexual harassment. |

Hmmm pales into insignifance with things that I've put up with through my career in engineering. I just laugh and shrug it off. Imagine I'd you'd have pinched his arse!! You'd be locked in the tower by now |
