The movement of a dog's head is limited.
They can raise their eyes from a lying position and they can see to great elevations from a distance but they can't bend their head back like people....
Note: your dog will move backwards to keep seeing what a treat in your hand if you hold it high.
They CAN look up but not easily.

Yes they can look up but as already been said they have limited field of vision ,
It has something to do with the evolution from wolf to domestic dog , wolves tend to be in packs and so they relied on eachother to ensure a " safe " area around themselves .....long story lol  |
