Looking after my niece tonight while my nephew is off watching his Mum walk over hot coals for him
Decided to go in and check she is ok as its very hot but the bloody handle squeaked really loud and scared the shit out of her!!! Not literally thank God
When she realised where she was she shot me an evil look and went straight back to sleep lol |

All reminds me of that wonderful Stephen Sondheim song - Children Will Listen.
'how do u say to your child in the night
Nothing's all black and yet nothing's all white
How do you say it will all be alright
When you know that it might not be true |

It's really hard to sing that one. The lyrics are really very thought-provoking. |

Yes I sang it in my final live show bout 4 years ago now. As well as a clever melody it has such wonderfully pertinent lyrics |

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack! |
Talking about checking on nieces and nephews in your care reminds me of my brother in law and his nephew. B-I-L had problems with a fox taking his chickens. Nephew`s answer was to tie a piece of string to a piece of chicken and his hand so when the fox took the piece of chicken it would pull on his hand and wake him up so he could shoot it! My sister and brother in law went into the bedroom later and was lifting his arm off the bed without waking him and the piece of chicken was gone in the morning! |
