Back in the early 90’s I once found myself working 111 twelve hour+ shifts in a period of 114 days…. During which time I lost 3 stone in weight….

At the end of the 114 days I had two weeks off before returning to my normal working pattern,,

I now look back on it as utter madness.

I work way too much, but I enjoy having money to do the things I like, I see a lot of people struggling and I thank my lucky stars it's not me

You must have been a salty sea dog working those shifts soxy.

If you enjoy your work its not as big an issue but there comes a point your health suffers !

Do your employers not know about a 13 day work policy?

They turn a blind eye to lots of things in here now and again they will tell you to have a day off though

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Used to work 6-6 on nights, 4 on 4 off. When guys had holidays booked, overtime was available. My record was 24 consecutive shifts.

I looked like a drugged bloodhound at the end of it
