Ok, so I'm feeling sorry for myself.....my 40th birthday is approaching, I'm the heaviest I've ever been and the straw that broke the camels back was me completely ruining my hair (not an exaggeration!)
I know it's not the end of the world and I know I'm being irrational so I just need somebody to tell me to pull myself together and to stop over-reacting please.....with or without the slap will be fine!
I know I can count on you lot to sort me out....just please don't leave bruises (that I'll have to explain to the outside world)
Squames x |

Pull yourself together, slaps round chops with a wet fish.We all have times like this. Hair can be sorted with a number one cut, and you are only as old as you feel.
Big hugs and hope you feel good soon xx |

What did you do to your hair? "
I think it's suffering from over bleaching and colouring. It's so dry. My hairdresser tried to cut it to keep some of the length as I don't suit short hair at all but I now look like limahl!...at least it isn't red orange pink and blond anymore..... |

"If I slapped you I'd be a hypocrite. I'm an intelligent, rational woman. For my 40th I dyed my hair blue to symbolise I was in the "blue rinse" age group and spent the day in bed crying: I didn't do that when my son died!!!
Have your pity party, allow yourself to "mourn" then look around you at the people who love you, embrace you're still vibrant, indulge yourself then *SLAP*...pull yourself together!!! "
Blue?!.... Hmmm that might just work! |

Limahl was hot!
Get some conditioning treatments on it. And smile because 40 is cool. |

get some argan oil for your hair it works wonders...as for you turning 40...its 40 you are far from being a oap.....enjoy what life has to offer and have fun...as far as your weight embrace it until you decide you want rid of it....from time to time we change but its about going with it rather then get depressed about it...Just go and have fun..put your worries to one side.... |

For some reason I read llama. That probably doesn't help things does it?
I say pamper day. Het a deep conditioning mask for your hair, spend the day treating yourself. Get your nails done maybe a facial (of any kind ) get hubby to be your naked butler and serve you drinks while you chip out in the tub etc |

Try a nice oily fish like mackerel - try rubbing it in her hair...
Sorry, didn't mean it. Hugs.
40 seems a biggie at this very moment, hair and weight can be sorted, you'll feel better about things in due course, meanwhile hugs and some pampering is good. |

Squames x" its horrible when your hair goes wrong. Mine was orange once because I didnt listen to my hairdresser - she was round the next day redoing it. 40 is young. im 50 this year and dont feel like it inwardly i feel 28. age is just a no and how old you feel depends on the man you are feeling? hoping here your man is your age or near it. have a great birthday anyway |

I shall be harsh as per your wish to administer the virtual reality slap but I'll temper it wiv the comment that we all have things about ourselves we wish were different!
Now you say you are fattest ever. Who is responsible for that status? Only yourself so either address it if it truly bothers you or live with it but kvetching won't resolve it
Hair disaster - pure vanity! Again do the best you can with it until time resolves it
Then consider how trivial your worries are compared to people in Syria etc who are now refugees, people dying through lack of food and water, those people seriously injured in the French train crash etc - Now you see your problems are even less than a pebble skimming an ocean |

It's not silly at all...because to women hair is the thing that people look at and it's part of us...your hair will grow back...if its that important go and get a wig fitted..I was somewhere and they put a wig on me and it transformed me into a different person... |

Get a really ripe avocado and mash it with some mayonnaise.
Apply the mix to your hair and then wrap your head with clingfilm (not the face, you need to breathe) then leave on for as long as you can bear.
It may sound like I'm setting you up but this really is the most fantastic deep conditioner. |

Nix the prawns but if you're blonde the lemon juice can lift any highlights you have and help with shine. |

Thank you. I'll give it a go.... Might even wear it to the party this afternoon!.... Minus the prawns, they will smell awful in the sun! |
