I don't have many pair of shoes and handbags, compare with a lot of the ladies on here.
However, I do have a thing about jewellery, and have different jewellery for different outfit/occassion covering all eventualities.
I suspect it is the same with shoes and handbags, to have different types/combinations for all occassions.
In addition, one needs to keep up with the fashion trends!!!
Luckily, I stick to classic jewellery designs (same with clothes, shoes and handbags to be honest), and do not follow trends. Otherwise I would be bankrupt a long time ago!  |

It’s very similar to taking some men into Halfords or and electrical shop or a tool shop… who knows why they need another screwdriver set… but they’ll tell you they do and what good value it is.... and they'll be happy... until they see some other gadget they want  |

I have one pair of thigh high boots ... One pair of hugs ... Two pairs of trainers for the gym ... Two pairs of flat shoes for work and about seven pairs of stiletto shoes (at the last count) .... pretty conservative I think |

Dumbkopf!!
Black flats for the sales for under kecks. Only you need the brown in case your kecks are brown. You need casual / chinese pump / trainers / whatever in case you have your jeans on or any other kecks on!! A nice grannie ankle boot for winter n rain is essential. Ugg boots for fuggin cold weather. Calf or Knee boots are the only thing to wear with skirts during late Autumn and winter. Walking boots if you have a dog .. NO trainer keeps out the mud n wet from a good field yomp. Wellies one should never be without. Mine are in the boot of the car. Snowed recently didn't it? I looked bloody stupid in the first day in my heels in the snow. If you get a nice autumn coat you will need the colourful fun wellies to go with it and the hat n scarf you get.
If it's summer forget the above and replace all shoes with leather , gold , silver or beaded sandally type flip flop or toe posts. Decorate with toe ring! NEVER EVER do we wear jesus sandals ..... they are for odd bods.
Black low to mid heels for business dress. No woman in her RIGHT mind wears flats with a pencil skirt! Oh.... if the suits brown the shoes MUST be brown and the bag .... If the suit is grey the shoes are grey! If the suit is blue the shoes ......... Need I go on ??
Holiday essential is the flip flop or croc .... ideal for popping down to the shops , gardening if they are last years and swilling the entry and front paving out in. Jelly Beans are useful for this also.
Holidays also call for strappy sandals - not too high . but essential to have the right colour with the right beach outfit. Being money saving souls women do usually try to get a neutral colour and wear them to death on hol....but if we have that lovely outfit that shouldn't be compromised ...sod it ...we get six pairs. No one can go on holiday without the right night shoes!! Being dollied up for the night requires heels ... BIG heels... black ones , brown ones , red ones....tonzzza ones. Heels count!! No woman feels dressed without heels. Full shoe, Court shoe, Strappy backless... but heels !
Slutting about ..... thigh high boots.... studded shoes. Shoes with diamante.. plastic ones, leather ones, red ones , black ones, Who the sodding hell wears black shoes with red fishnets ???? Oh yeah .. I do.. BUT ..... slippers... mmmmmm
I have pink fluffies, white toe posts....green with a sheep on ... pink knitted like a proper grans ... and blue thigh high like a nepalese horseman ...... ahhhh lovely.
I am not imelda ...... i have hardly ANY shoes.... just sufficient.

Outside work, I live in trainers (Reebok High Top in black since 1980s) and walking boots.
At work, I wear low heel shoes or flats, except when I am hosting an important meeting/audit/visit/whatever, then I would wear a pair of chunky heels with a suit or jacket.  |
