"They say"

Whenever I see these words preceding a statement it immediately makes me think what's next isn't true! Also makes me wonder who the hell "they" are!

What "they say" stories have you heard?

They keep saying it's wrong on so many levels. I'd understand if "it" was in a lift but "it" is usually on one level.
