"How much would you say you consume in a week?? "
A bottle of wine when I fancy it. Sometimes nothing for weeks and sometimes a few bottles in a week or even a day. Classic binge drinker I suspect.  |

Another binge drinker here... I can go weeks/months and not notice that I've not had a drink. Then go on a night out, consume a bucket of booze and you wouldn't know I'd had a drop. Very few people have seen me d*unk... it does happen sometimes, usually on wine.  |

Haven't had any since Christmas/new year.
My sense of taste has been affected by some meds and I really haven't fancied it. Prior to that I could go for weeks without a drop then have one or two or occasionally a blow out! |

Clearly way too much...
Two glasses of wine with each meal (lunch and dinner) plus the odd cocktail or port about 5 times per week.
Not a binge drinker though...  |

I tend to avoid buying it in coz its money I haven't got. But if I do treat myself to a 4 pack of pear cider at the weekend ill
Have 2 fri and 2 sat night. Sometimes I don't have any for weeks. But I do like a drink if I'm out in the evening, which is about 4 times a year!! Lol x |

I don't drink on a weekly basis so most weeks I don't drink any alcohol at all
I only drink every now and again but I don't have much as because I don't drink often I get d*unk really easy  |

Hello all,
the majority of the replies are from irregular drinkers it seems.
I class myself as a regular drinker 40 to 50 units a week. I don't like getting d*unk at all, and am very selective with what I drink, it must have good flavour, quality beer and reasonable wine, no spirits ever.
I have just been to my doctor who, predicatably said I drink too much, adding directly after that "but you do look very well"

I can go weeks without it,but when I do drink I like it lots.....the last couple of weekends have been busy so ive had a drink,definately more of a social drinker  |

Usually maybe a couple of ciders during the week and then a big night out on the weekend but the big night out is far from a weekly thing usually more like once a month maybe twice, so it can vary. |

At the worst of my drinking i suspect it was easily 75-100 units a week... 
And that's erring on the side of caution.
Fully accept that I was, by definition, a functioning alcoholic, but in London it is easy to hide as There is always something going on and different people to socialize with.
Now I very rarely drink more than 1 night a week but do tend to have some big night's a couple of times a month. |
