Fake profiles!!!!

Isn't it time a rule was put in place that only allows new members a certain period of time to get verified or photo approved before they have a message ban or something similar.
I understand people may join and not like the site or need time to adjust to it which is fair enough, but the so called "real members" who have been here several months/years and still have no verifications or aren't approved.
The site is sadly riddled with fake profiles, pic collectors and timewasters. It would make the site much better if there was rules regarding the amount of time you can remain an active member without being approved.
For example you have to be verified or photo approved to join in the forum chat. Why not have the same rule for the webcam rooms aswell. Then this would eliminate certain indviduals who spoil the fun.
I know many people may have their own reasons to disagree but its happening more and more often and I wanted to see what other peoples opinions were. |

Verified BEFORE they are allowed in webrooms? Why? Some people use cams to GET verified. You yourself aren't showing your veris! Are they by webcam by any chance? |

Aww I didn't think of that, well in general, if you don't get verified or photo approved in certain period of time you shouldn't be allowed to use the site as wank material.
As for my veri's I don't see why I should display them as
1.I believe its personal between the two people who meet
2.Its basically for your ego more than anything else |

As is often said - fakes and timewasters are usually easily avoided by common sense, realistic expectancy and good use of filters!
Personally I see no value in webcam veri's as I'm looking to meet - socially or for fun - privately or in clubs. So I'll base my contact strategy on the same methods I've always used - and only been let down once in 5+ years and they were meet verified!!
Nothing in life, or Fab, is ever guaranteed - but you can always minimise the risk! |

How do you know that, there are countless numbers of guys using womans profiles in order to get pics. Its obvious. And people who say this isn't true are clearly hiding something. If you're not verfied after 2-3 weeks then you shouldn't be allowed to continue having the access to peoples profiles and cams etc |

If verification is for the ego then why rely on it to assert that someone is fit to enter the forums and camrooms?
Oh, just a little spanner in the works, I got offered a fake veri on my first day on the site. I choose to display veris so that other users can see that I'm genuine and my verifiers are too. |

That's sort of what I was thinking. I joined 5+ years ago too and I've never had any dealings with fakes either.
Common sense is a factor I guess. I don't use verifications to figure out if people are fake, I use my instincts. Anyone can obtain a verification, it's not rocket science. I'd rather rely on my own judgement than someone else's. |

if it looks to good to be true it usually is found one ' fems' pic on about four sex sites using tineye who had been mailing my cpls prof the jury is still out ive offered to meet her as she says she only lives a mile away ......we wait with baited breath for the reply ! |

How do I know that?!! I think when their heads were buried between my thighs was the giveaway! 
I somehow managed to suss all by myself though the Harry Styles lookalike who thought I was the hottest chick on Fab and he wanted to pound me into next week was a fake though...erm...was I too quick to shout "fake"! |

I think if people are allowing their enjoyment of Fab to become spoilt by finding fault with other members profiles,,,,, they should perhaps re-evaluate their own expectations rather than trying to create solutions for problems that don’t cause all that many real issue’s in general,, ….
You can't legislate a solution that will stop the actions of people who don't abide by the rules...
But over regulation can stop genuine people enjoying the fab experience on their own terms.....
Not everyone who gets pleasure from the site does so following the same agenda,,

There are such things as filters on this site  I use them so no unverified men outside my age range can message me.
A few messages will tell you if a profile is fake or not, it will also tell you if the person is a picture collector, a fantasist and a dreamer, or actually here to meet.
I'll happily chat for a few messages but if they don't send a face pic fairly quickly as I ask for in my profile, then I'll stop answering and assume they're fake and just here to perv. A lot of people mistake this site for that FaceAche thingy |

Rubbish....when we started on another site it took us over a month to get verified from a meet. Couples are skeptical especially when there are no verifications on a new couples profile and we are now skeptical for the same reason...messers etc.
Also when we joined there was a time limit before we could post on the forums even though we had paid for supporting. Unfortunately it's just one of those things you just godda grin and bear it.....it is what it is  |

Maybe in part, but we would run an advanced search on your profile selecting 'at least one veri by meeting' on YOU before we would talk to or approach you because you could have 100 veris hidden - all by webcam - as we don't meet anyone who hasn't had at least one meet in person.
And are we going to go to all that trouble...?

It's hard to keep track of them since they became sentient.

i dont think you could be more wrong with the last statement, veris are there to show others a variety of things, eg, that you arranged a meet and turned up, that you are currently meeting ie, look at the date on veri, and to get an idea of what you are like in person, to name just a few.
a person that has 5 webcam veris and no meeting in person could well be a timewaster, but with your time limit idea they would still be here. |

ive come across more fake profiles than real ones..
one was a planned meet we spoke on the phone a day or 2 before i spoke to a woman on the phone she sounded very convincing, day of the meet she had work, day of the second meet 'work again.. until i saw photos of her on a couples profile then i knew it was a fake :P
theres nothing worse than traveling somewhere and being let down it guts you! get to clubs mate meet the real people there.. got more chance walking to the shops and getting laid then trying to find people here :P

More fakes than real? Honestly? 
As for your 'case study' - fakes are one thing - timewasters another! Fakes won't speak on the phone as they're usually not the sex you were hoping for or they claim on their profile. Timewasters will make plans and then cancel with lame excuses repeatedly or just string you along.
This is where common sense, early contact - and a good track list of veri's play a key part. Serial timewasters don't tend to have recent, multiple complimentary feedback.
But your 'more chance of getting laid!' remark gives the impression that its quick, easy sex you're looking for - which is like a red rag to a bull for those wishing to waste your time.
Patience, a lack of urgency and less expectancy often help out those less genuine!! |
