I like sport, but would rather eat a big plate of brussels than watch the cricket.
Watching grass grow is far more exciting. - Only my preference of course. It's very popular to a lot of sleepy heads |

Im probabaly much different to many cricket fans as i prefer watching test games rather than the shorter forms. I feel tests are a more intelligent and exciting battle where T20 is just gung ho..... No doubt im a massive bore! Haha |

It's not exciting or interesting, it can't be. It's lots of blokes stood around in a field for a few days. Occasionally someone will hit something and you'll think something has happened, but it hasn't.
It
Is
Tedious |

Nothing beats TMS whilst watching the match live.

"We will be at Trent bridge today. It looks like a very close and nervy finish. A brilliant first test and another nine to go.
"
have a great day i was there yesterday although after the first day i could never have imagined that we would get to the fifth day stunning profile by the way. |

"We were not expecting to go today after the first day. We thought it would be over in three days.
I have a feeling that it is going to be another fantastic series."
you have to hand it Australia as a nation they never ever give in when they play us no matter what the sport is.

1st hour sounds crucial...overcast so in theory a good bowling wicket. New ball after nine overs.
Whatever happens it should be exciting and it's amazing it has gone to the last day.
My guess....it'll be lucky to go beyond lunch....awaits to be proven wrong. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
"anyone who says cricket is boring clearly needs their head examined "
Most of the time it moves sooooo slooooowwwwllly and then it gets fast and exciting for a moment. Lots of jumping up and down with glee happened over here. Not by me, I hasten to add. I only know what happened because of the jumping up and down with glee. |

"What a strange way to win....
not strange at all..
the referral system is there to be used and they did..
proved that the on field Umpire had erred..
big relief though.. "
Just like the tennis now, your allowed so many goes at questioning the umpires decision, makes it more exciting for the crowd as well, in some cases.

Strange in as far as the win wasn't instantly confirmed the moment the Aussie batsman was out. Waiting for the DRS to confirm this took a bit of the gloss off imho. |

"No need to hand it to them, if you turn your back for a couple of seconds they will take it!"
bloody true that's why they are in van diemens land in the first place
hope you had a good day i can't for Saturday and Sunday |

What an epic battle and match that was, I think it's swings and roundabouts regarding the DRS, even the third umpire can get it wrong, all in all I think it evened itself out and the best team won, Agar, in my opinion was stumped but stayed in, Broad was out but stayed. Cannot wait for Thursday just wish I was on annual leave! It's a killer working, forgetting about it then get half a chance to check the score, I almost screamed when I had seen we had won, had to Tom into a private rooms and punch the air! |

Here we go....round 3 at Old Trafford:
England winning 2-0 in the series with three to play.
Australia have won the coin toss and elected to bat.
How many days will this last? It's sold out for four days and half sold for the last. 25,000 expected each day. Will the rain play a part? Rain forecast for Saturday and Sunday. |

I think Australia might just win - beware the wounded animal and englands top 4 aren't as solid looking as normal |

I think Australia will be a lot better but have a feeling if the weather plays a big part it will turn out a draw.
Otherwise England all the way.

Yes the world cup was a one off, but England winning at cricket has been going on since 03 with the odd blip like Australia in 07/08, Michael Vaughan did a lot to turn English cricket around, one of the best captains ever I would say,
As for this test, I'm going for a rain affected draw which is all England need to retain the ashes, Australia are in a massive slump lost 6 on the trot, think they'd take a draw right now they can't buy a win |
