"When cooked............how much "
.
Heaps of it.
A big bag of fresh ones cooks down to nothing, so I'd probably need 2 packs just for myself.
Sweat them with a bit of butter, a bit of garlic and a pinch of salt, squeeze out as much water as possible (reserve and drink later, yum), return to the pan, add more butter, a pinch of nutmeg, and possibly some cream cheese for extra richness, salt and pepper to taste.
Yum!!!
My favourite vegetable when I do not have to cook it myself! |

"When cooked............how much "
Do you mean ..... how much time? Or how much to eat ?
The amount I eat depends on the rest of the meal.
I prefer it raw. Chopped in sarnies it is delicious.
Cooked it it destroyed slop unless it's a small constituent of a broader menu.
I wilt it. Last night it was wilted into a lamb broth I'd made.
It is so light that a bag doesn't weigh much. If you are cooking it right down then one bag may do for two people if there are plenty of other foods. It's not filling ... but it is vital. |
