We went to a Battle Proms event last night which was amazing. Made me feel so proud to be British and remember those who have fought for our country. I am hugely patriotic anyway.

Are you patriotic and what makes you proud to be British too ?

London & Edinburgh

I am very patriotic, but feel more Scottish than British, tho i am totally behind you in supporting all those that fight for our country and way of life of many nations. Not so proud of how our troops have been used by those in charge over the ceturies, but 100% behind those in the front line

We've had some very significant poignant moments over the last few years. Times have been very hard economically for a lot of people. It's been great to have some national moments to rejoice.

First generation immigrant here, and it was my choice to adopt this country as my home when I was able to make that decision as an adult, and am proud to be a Brit.

I can be very defensive when people slack off this country for whatever reasons, as it has served me well all these years.

Great posts. Yes we have everything to offer. Great to hear that migrants embrace our culture too.

I originated from a former British colony and held a British Dependent Territory passport when I came here.

Therefore, the transition was not that difficult as I was young enough to be able to adapt with ease.

It was the weather that sold it to me, as I do not like the heat!
