i am warming to murray after seeing the sue barker interview with him and his gf and their dogs yes they are a bit dull even they admitted that but at least hes not in the papers for anything nasty and he came across as a down to earth guy. Im baking him all the way today and really hope he can do it and the 40degrees heat doesnt get to them |

As I said in Scotland forums, I really do believe Andy has the conviction and determination behind him this year.
He has an Open win and an Olympic belt behind him...
He also has Lendl, who has given him faith in himself and belief...
I would have hoped that his mum would have stayed away today.... Family/parental pressures won't win trophies or titles.
It was never Judy (mum) that got Andy and Jamie into tennis. It was a way of taking their minds off school!!! |

I have not read what was said but I actually have met him and his family. He comes across in interviews as a mardy git. He is anything but, just shy and focused on his career.
What a lot of people forget is Andy and Jamie were in school the day of the Dunblane shooting and both of them witnessed it....
He is a great sportsman and at the top of his game... Open championship win and a gold olympic medal... But some people feel the need to cry him down because he doesn't always smile...
How many of you can "sport" for 4 hours and then want to talk??? |

Whether he's Scottish, Brittish or a feckin alien from Jupiter, he's a great role model for the game of tennis.
He's came on leaps and bounds in the last year or two and is dedicated and focused 100% to the game.
