Pimms Recipe - Help needed!
Jump to: Newest in thread
We are off to Eurekas for the day tomorrow, planning to setup with a chest of ice, Pimms, and food.
I've just got everything together and went to look up a mix I had noted down previously for Pimms that was very good, and I cant find it!
So help!
Does anyone have a good mix recipe for Pimms?
I have loads of mint, apples, oranges, cucumber, lemons and limes, Lemonade, and of course Pimms No1.
What else do I need if anything, any suggestions?
And what mix ratios?
Thanks Al. |

Thanks for the replies.
I had a memory of the mix I had being a bit more involved that that, with the Pimms and Lemonade and a crushed lime and splash of something? (god knows what now).
But I suppose I can just keep mixing and drinking With as much Sun as forecast I will need plenty of fluids! LOL
(and Sun tan oil as I don't want burnt bits!) |

Just google it and the mix is on there along with some cocktails which may be what you thinking of. |

"1 part Pimms
3-4 parts Lemonade
Strawberries
Mint
Cucumber
Apples
That's about all you need . "
A smattering of horny, hot 18yr olds called Sophie, Felicity, Cassandra etc to whom it can be served is optional then, is it...???? |

Apparently Aldi's Austin's is just as good as Pimm's and cheaper.
I have not tried it myself, however, I have planned to, after I have finished my current bottle of Pimm's.
I like it quite strong, so it is normally 1 part Pimm's to 3 parts lemonade or less.
Have fun at Eureka's!

Thanks for that, I think you have a point with cocktails, I think now that may have been it.
Loads of stuff on the internet but with so much its difficult to gauge what is any good.
So far:
The ratio seems ok, and the cucumber and mint has a consensus I think, but the jury is out on fruit and what type.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks for all the help.

"My mum and dad got the one from aldi and it tastes just like Pimms "
You mean Austins..?? Looked at it plenty of times, but stayed away as, usually, ALDI and Lidl's 'lookie-likey' stuff is so sugary it darned near makes me throw up.
Mind you, could explain why it was almost walking off the shelf when I was in there this afternoon...

The Fireworks night 18 months ago, Ruby and I took her kids to the display at Leeds Castle and Pimms had a stand there selling 'Pimms Winter' with warm apple juice. Hit the spot on a cold November evening or what.???????? Never found it in the shops though....

There were 6 blends of Pimms at one time, No1 is the summer Pims we commonly know, and No4 is the winter version already mentioned.
Very occasional you see others on special release but it doesn't seem to stock for long.
No6 Pimms was the Vodka mix.
Just found a wiki link covering it.

Anyway thanks for the help everyone!
We are packing now and off soon.
Will mix up a gallon to start and drink to you all.
And if anyone is there today drop round for a glass.
Thanks again. Al
