So we are having a bbq and for the first time in years my dad has invited my Mum to join us!!

They really haven't gotten on well since they split about 20 years ago so it should be an interesting evening!!

What will happen, get on famously until alcohol kicks in? Or will there be a spirit of reconciliation in the air and they fall madly into each others' arms?

New wife new times?? Dust under the carpet? Time to move on and be adult about things?

Surely its a good thing and hope all goes well

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Don't act tense around them. It might be even worse for your father's new wife but they are all adults.

Good luck.

Well it all went off without a hitch. Even the dogs were well behaved.

In the past my mum has tended to be very loud and seemed to think it was a competition between her and my dad's partner etc which caused bad feelings but today she was very well behaved.

The kids and grandkids had a waterfight
