I've got at least another 3 hours of teaching to go (running early for once) and my flip flop has flopped - the middle bit has come out and I don't have another pair of shoes in the car!

Thinking a trip to a supermarket in between lessons is in order, but I literally have no support from this flip flop and I hate supermarkets on a Saturday!

Buggeration!

Nope - I wish I did Minxie. I'd even settle for a stapler. I'm gutted as I love these flip flops

"Glue or anything sticky? "

Literally nothing. And I mean nothing! I have half an hour in this lesson left then I will have no option other than to slide one foot round Tesco to look for a replacement pair!

long shot and might not work, can u not make another hole for the post nearby to the original hole and stuff the post through for a temp repair til you can get to Tesco and buy stuff for a proper repair?

Its not quite that simple. They have a thick bottom and so the top bit doesn't go all the way through! 7 minutes until the Tesco shuffle!

Need to know basis

Pull the middle bit back thru the hole, find some thread and from underneath wound a few yards round. Should hold till you get to the shop!

We have 2 new arrivals to Ruby's House of Shoes - because I couldn't make a decision between the 2 I liked in Tesco!

Normal service is resumed and the broken pair will be retired to the shoe recycling place!
