Do you find yourself sleeping less as you get older?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Tail end of last week I only managed about 2 hours sleep per night.... Saturday afternoon when it caught up with me I don't even remember getting on my bed.... so I was a little confused for a few moments when I woke up under the duvet |

Usually don't need more than about 4 hours sleep but have hardly got out of bed today: nursing a massive hangover.
Another thing about getting older: you can't hold your drink! |

My sleep patterns are all over the place. I work nights away from home so during the week I'll grab a few hours between 5am and 9am then a couple more at around 8pm before going to work at 11pm.
When I'm home I find it hard to drop back into normal sleep patterns and am often up till the wee small hours. The only drawback is that Siren will wake at 8am and afer having littleun all by herself the whole week she looks to me to give her a break but, yup, you guessed it, I'm usually alseep. It can get quite frustrating at times as I'll feel frisky when she's knackered and vice versa. |

Never needed much sleep, I much prefer to power nap, anything from half an hour to 2 hours. Fridays and Saturdays I rarely go to bed at all, 2 x 2 hour power naps generally keep me going, Sundays I like to relax and have a proper sleep then back to power napping for the rest of the week. |

I've always had a bad sleep pattern ever since I was young.
As a mother I woke at the slightest sound from one of my kids, many parents are the same and can't shake the habit as they get older... I still only manage about 3 hours a night, sometimes going for about 3 nights before sleeping.
I do however sleep like the dead if I have a warm body to snuggle into. xxx |

sleep whats sleep.
I manage anthing from 2 to 4 hrs a night and it drives me mad.
Every once in a while by body gives up and i sleep for england.
Ive been known to do the ironing in the middle of the night because its better than lying awake in bed staring at the celling.
I think it stems from when the kids were younger and having to listen out for them
and also when my dad was very ill and being called out in the middle of the night to see him to (god rest his soul).
So ive never really got my sleep patern back and its not for the wont of trying.

I'm the opposite. I used to be able to survive on very little sleep, just a few hours a night was fine.
These days if I don't get at least 7 hours a night I'm a real grump! |
