Got stopped by the fuzz on the way home. Mr Fuzz approached my car and indicated for me to wind down the window. He then proceeded to tell me that I'd been speeding, blah, blah, blah, lecture, lecture, lecture, give us ya licence.
I think I perplexed him somewhat though as I didn't meekly hand it over but instead I thought I'd use my legendary wit and rhetoric and tell him what I really thought of him. This is what followed:
Me: Are you Policeman v1.0?
PC: Sorry?
Me: Ah, thought so. You haven't been upgraded to Policeman v2.134 yet. Your programming prevents you from doing real police work like apprehending proper criminals and you are thus only capable fo motorway work. That is what a Policeman v1.0 program does. This program is also known as Tax Collector 6.0 but they added a shiny new suit and a fast car and rebadged it Policeman v1.0. Might I suggest you apply for Service Pack 3.24. This will permit you to actually question your superiors on the validity of stopping motorists simply because you are bored.

That's ALL they can give ya though, so you can be as cheeky as you want so long as you're not verbally abusive or use obscene language. They won't arrest you as it means a shit load of paperwork and a leftover bug in Tax Collector 6.0 triggers a very loud Ching! in Policeman v1.0's head. |
