My grandad was an rsm in a highland regiment and when men went off camp wearing their kilts they had to pass inspection! The cattle grid at the camp exit was polished to a be mirror like! If improperly dressed they were on a charge!
I wear my kilt with pride so need for anything else and by the way its not drafty! |

"I get a lot of women asking if I'm a true Scotsman when I've got my kilt on, and I like to answer 'well have a look/feel for yourself and see'"
Put your hand up his kilt to find out his clan.
If its a quartepounder. He's a Mc Donald. Sorted! |

This story appeared ARRSE on a few years back and was comprehensively discredited. |

Did it REALLy and was it discredited? Well i never read it anywhere and it happened in a barracks in Edinburgh in the late 1930s i could give you the name to look up in regimental records but i am not too bothered by your comment! What would i have to gain by saying it! Anyway for the record i heard it from people that served with my GD and from family! So i like the story! |
