Abuse of power!

I have a friend on here who met someone who got a bit clingy.
When she said she wouldnt meet him again he bombarded her with texts and emails on here, so she blocked him.
He then unblocked himself and said " You cannot ban me, I am admin, and I will have you thrown off the site"
I got advice from those in the know on this site and advised her to report to admin...which she did.
She heard nothing back and last night he sent her a text saying " Shame you are now gone" and her profile has been deleted.
Scary to think some of the nutters out there may even be running the site!
Now before you get arsey admin, I have not named anyone, shamed anyone, just highlighted a problem that I think should be bought out in the open. |

Unfortunately I doubt it will. If the story is true, and I have absolutely no reason to doubt it is then I doubt this will last very long at all  |

Why?
No-one is named. If there is nothing to hide, then no reason to close it.
If Admin wish to email me to verify what I am saying is true I will give them all the facts and let them know who I discussed it with.
Its not a grievance, name or shame, but is something that should be brought to light...imo |

you prob would have got a better responce from admin by posting this in the site help forum or contacting admin by using the contact us button |

Could not agree more and hope that is the tack they take, I really do as this sort of behaviour is utterly reprehensible
However as your mate has been booted off the site we can only surmise that has happened with the blessing of admin, hence I doubt this will end well in here |

Due to circumstance of my own making, I doubt it.
Private contact was made byt the person invoved and nothing heard back.
I guess by posting it in here, someone will take notice and do something about it, or at least investigate it further. She is now unable to do it due to being removed.

I would mail Admin from the link at the bottom of the page. Something isn't quite right about what you have wrote.
No Admin would say they could chuck someone off the site so if anyone gets any threats like that I would take them with a pinch of salt.
PS
Respecting everyones right to be on here and not be bad mouthed before anyone has heard two sides of a story isn't getting "arsey" . It is called protecting all members.
Definitely report this from either the persons profile or the contact button at the bottom of the page though. |

Looks like her problem guy got her password some way and used it first to unblock himself then delete her account. |

ive got one for all of u, this guy kept mailing and mailing us and it was clear he wasnt what we are looking for and we both over the space of a cpl of months told him this but he still wouldnt stop, the last e-mail we recieved from him said he was going to hunt me down and make sure no one would look at me twice, i then blocked him and reported it to site admin...a day later this guy came back but with a new profile and told me no one is big enough to block him and id better watch out as my profile could be deleted if i keep saying no to him...this could be the same guy...needless to say his second profile he deleted b4 i could report him, but his first profile is still there...stella..xxxx |

This sounds like nonsense. Lots of people say in mails that they are admin just to sound like a big-shot.
Contact us privately with details using the CONTACT form at bottom of each page we'll have a look.

NP rugby. Just another point here. No admin can delete a profile. They can only be suspended (with a reason, which we always review). We never delete profiles either. The only people who can delete profiles are the account holder. |

Gosh, bit ummmmmmmm not good.
There are some who have some control over the site that are a bit more than they should be or are in the real world 
But the site is great and would be a little lost if there was no Fab swingers |

I think the watch word here is security. Individuals should keep their passwords safe and if you think it has been compromised change it. Also remember to keep the password of your registering email secure so your account cannot be compromised there. |

We've heard from the OP.
We can say this because no one has named any names.
1. The perp in question isn't and never has been an admin (or any kind of mod). Like we say sometimes people say stuff like this to appear a big shot. Admins are instructed never to say they are an admin so if someone is saying they are, the likelihood is, they ain't.
2. The account in question that was apparently removed by an admin has simply been removed by the account holder.
We'll close the thread now.
