Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Do you go to bed with a sense of achievement at the end of your day?

Certainly not today, spent most of my day doing other people's work. Might get my own done tomorrow!

Yes. I am always amazed I made it through the day.

Sometimes I'm proud of what I achieved.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My personal sense of achievement today has just been shattered but a lot of days recently I have wondered why I bother.

Chin up my pretty x

To bother is to be arsed, and if you're not arsed, you're an arse.

On a personal note I achieve every day by being AWESOME!

If I told you why my achievement levels plummeted you would think me an arse.

Keep on being AWESOME Funky Monkey Man.

Whatever the results, if you have done your best, you know you couldn't have done more.

This is my problem. My headmaster as primary school started every assembly with us saying,

Good better best, never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.

Today I have achieved nothing other than sitting at home in my PJs, with a blanket, with the heating on and I think for the first time ever I have full scale flu. Not just a cold, like full on man flu!

Depends whose bed it is

Generally go to bed with a sense of 'mmm, hello pillow / collapse'

Normally after work yes - but not today. I've a child who I'm really worried about and who's going to take a hell of a lot of time to "fix"

For the first time since I lost my job in April, I feel like I've achieved something today.

I got an unconditional offer to study the Masters Degree I've wanted to do for years...well chuffed!!

Brainwashed

And if anyone thinks your best is not good enough - that's their problem.

Alternatively, whilst you cannot do too much for a good boss, you can do too little for a bad one.

Fair days pay for a fair day's work.

I'm now sat up in bed trying to write an email to different agencies and professionals trying to flag things up.

I'm so so stresses about today, feels like a long journey ahead of me which is daunting.

Your boss perhaps needs to be more positive. New day tomorrow. x
