I love a bit of outdoor play, especially when the sun is out to warm my white bits but once of twice it has nearly gotten me into trouble with the fine gentlemen of her Majesty's constabulary
I'm curious, has anyone been caught by plod, pants down and if so what happened!? |

That reminds me that if you get caught having a piss in an alley. They class it as indigent exposure and put you on the sex offenders list without saying what you have done in detail. Its wrong as someone could be doing drugs and it will sound like you're worse because you are on the sex offenders list just because you had a piss . "Should just be called damage to public property". |

think it would need to cause someone harassment alarm or distress before it could be recorded as a public order offence however think people deserve what they get, mate lives in high street and has found pee and poo in doorstep so i have no sympathy..if you cand hold your drink and be civilised then drink less |

On a door step or where anyone can see you yes I agree. Fine them heavily and caution them. Don't call them sex offenders though. Secondly sometimes you could be in the middle of nowhere. Heard the expression "go behind a bush". I think if you do it behind a bush and well away from the public. Its not doing no harm. If anything it teaches the council to put more public toilets around. |

"Yes. They just told us to get dressed and leave the area "
As above they also followed us home and for a few months after every time we parked up in the car they always stopped for a chat, but that hasn't happened for a while |

if your going to the toilet in the middle of nowhere who is going to report you ?
as i said before it would need to cause someone harassment alarm or distress before it becomes a public offence and anyway near being listed as a sex offender |

On the police programmes when they approach someone peeing in the street they say they can be done for a public order offence.
I think the whole sex offenders thing is an urban legend |

People who happen to go the same way as you. Police may pass the area as routine. In my opinion it should be under a different name as sex doesn't come into it. Flashing yes as you mean to show people your body. Going to the toilet isn't. |

drink less, use the toilet before you leave the pub/club etc and if you really try i am sure you can manage to get home without the need to pee and youll never have to worry about being on the sex offenders list

You will not be put on the sex offenders register for peeing in a public place, at worst you risk being done for exposure but that is unlikely. Its a public order offence, I think your information comes from the USA were in some states its possible to be charged with a sex offence but not likely... Google is a great tool lol. |

Unless there were kids around I think I'd either laugh, cheer or help out if I caught two people at it in public - really life shouldn't be serious... |

I dunno about Surrey but it has happened in Scotland. You can also get yourself on the SOR for mooning out of a football supporters' bus. |

Lol well Morrigan did feel sorry for them as she though they were so upset because they were not getting any at home.
I hasten to add it was at ten to midnight on a Sunday night and we were "outraging public decency" |

I don't know about the register but to go back to the OP's initial question: Yes, I was caught shagging my girlfriend on a bench in the Tesco carpark late one evening, many, many years ago. They took our names and addresses but they basically scared the bejesus out of us and sent us on home.
ps. I still smile when i pass that bench. |

There is absolutely no way you will be charged with a sexual offence or put on the sex offenders register for being caught peeing in a public place.. Period. |

I agree with the above. There is generally too much hysteria and myth circulating.
As far as I can recall - if no one is offended then no crime is committed.
E.G do it in a deserted area outdoors not in a public place where you will offend the decency of children an nice adults. |

"In the immortal words of nwa fuck the police if taking a Piss gets you on a sex offenders register this country is even more shit than i thought"
Just to balance things up a bit, The Police do not make laws they just enforce them when some indolent piss head urinates without regard to anyone else. |

Going by what i read just now. It all goes on how the officer feels when they catch you. If you corporate, apologise. You will get a stern warning on the spot and the police will make a little note incase you get into trouble again that involves alcohol. If you are rude to them or they just don't like you. They will charge you with public indecency and that would mean going on the sex offenders list.
As for small bladders that isn't always the case as you could be going on a long journey. Not going before you left for whatever reason and half way through the journey you may need to go. Plus some people have a long walk home after a night out and may feel the urge to go when the cold hits them as coldness makes you go. All the clubs in my area lock their toilets 20 minutes before closing. So if you need to go. Chances are you have to hold it 20 minutes so you leave with your mates. Then you get food or say goodbye to various people and within 10 minutes. That's when desperation starts. I agree its a foul habit, but if you do it out of sight and not on someone's property there's not much harm done. |

It's the exposure, not the urination that gets you on the SOR.
Make a serious attempt to conceal the fact you're having a pee and the chances are the cops will take a sensible attitude.
Pee against the railings of a primary school at playtime and you'll (rightly) feel the full force of the law. |
