Lots to see...Brighton Marina with shops and places to eat, cinema, casino, bowling alley, the beach, the naturist beach, worlds oldest electric railway, the Brighton Wheel, the Pier, te beach arches and artists quarter, burnt out pier, the lanes, the museum, the pavilion, the north laines and the south downs national park a short drive away.

Edinburgh

Well I'm biased but Edinburgh has everything you could want. Shops, history, beach, architecture and bagpipes. But York is a must if you've not been x

East Yorkshire

For me it would have to be London. I live it there and so much to see and do. Failing that a cottage in the middle of nowhere for some peace and quiet

LOVE Aviemore and surrounding places. Was going to say that but thought was too far. Tons and tons to do. Trying to get a wee trip up there myself later on.

Haworth in West Yorkshire. Lovely little village, then take a ride on the keighley worth valley railway. Day out at Skipton which is a lovely market town. This would make a nice weekend.

Depends when your looking to go and if your looking for entertainment. Buttons adult weekends are great. If you have not heard about them they are a themed weekend of music eg 70's 80's 90's soul weekend etc and are kids free. Fancy dress optional and if you search the forums you may find fabbers for fun while there. Loads of live bands over 3 nights search buntlines and look at top of page heading adult weekend lol

They are great we have done 8 and looking at going again

Yeah we discovered that! Going to the races for my bday in couple of weeks and couldn't believe how much the hotels were... £170 for the travel lodge. Who would pay that? The only reason people stay in the travel lodge is that its £30!!!

After lots of searching, it looks like we might end up in a lodge with hot tub in the Suffolk area. Getting fed up of looking now.
