Glam rock was reportedly started in UK in the early seventies.
I thought Kiss were ok and at one time reported to be the loudest band in the world. Elements of 'glam rock' but probably more hard rock or metal. |

"my sister used to go out with brian connollys best mate in there hayday he gave my sister a pair of his stage platform shoe, to give to me, bugger if i can remember where they went."
I think I’m right in saying that Brian Connolly was the half brother of the actor who played Taggart... |

You are Soxy. The thing with Sweet was all the good stuff was always on the B sides or side 2 of their albums. They were marketed as one of the top echelon of the Glam Rock bands, but they were a serious outfit behind it all.

"in 1972-3 gary glitter had 3 of the biggest selling singles for those years, come on own up who bought them. "
Never bought a record by GG but will own up to going to the regular Christmas gig he did at the Brighton Centre in 1995.
Was honestly the worst concert I've ever been to....ended up getting pissed having a major row with gf of 3years and the end of said relationship. |

It always got good reviews but the year I went...there were problems with the sound system so most people retired to the bars. |
