After years of having had a credit card sized photo ID card, I now usually carry my passport to prove who I am.
I've been considering getting a photo driving licence. Has anyone who has one encountered any situations where it hasn't been accepted?
Thanks in anticipation. |

Photo licence alone is not sufficient as proof of address, and a second form of proof of address such as current utility bills (not mobile phone) may be required, e.g. for new bank account application.
Apart from that, photo licence alone is accepted as proof of ID for me.

Thanks. Reading the bumf on the application, two things surprise me.
1) the list of illnesses/ conditions which DVLA want to be told about and
2)the fact that if you are getting higher rate mobility Disability Living Allowance, you can learn to drive, apply for a provisional licence and take your test when you’re 16.
