I think it all depends what you were expecting ,,,,,, but for me it’s enough to know they are still able to rock it out after all these years when so many bands of their generation can’t….

I'm quite happy with what I'm seeing and hearing on TV.... but I'm sure it will be a gazillion times better for the peope who are lucky enough to actually there....

Yep - very average but lets face it - they're virtually pensioners, so we can't expect miracles!!

It may be the BBC have little input on mixing the sound, and sometimes bands mix for the crowd and neglect the feed to the broadcaster.

For some previous major acts, bands have insisted on their own director and sound people, the end result is a by the numbers version of their stadium set.

Generally once the editors get their hands on the footage it may improve, so best stuff is often over the next week

It's only right that it should be mixed for the crowd - they're the main part of the festival & paying the big bucks!!

I'd be very surprised if they take a house mix for sound- would most likely be bloody awful

He really looks like he’s enjoying being there too……

Which is great too see from someone who's had a career like his…

I used to be very sceptical about Glastonbury moving away from its traditional roots and becoming the mixed festival that it now is ….!.

But I must admit I think it utterly fantastic so many people of all ages and backgrounds now come together and enjoy such a diversity of performers and do so with such good spirit and respect for eachothers musical tastes….

I loved The Strypes, a mega talent for ones so young. Dare I say it, they played R&B like a young Rolling Stones

most bands will have no contol of the the broadcast side of Glasto, the Beeb will have a side chain off the inputs and will mix it live for broadcast- but compared to a live DVD there will be a major difference in sound quality as recordings for DVD are taken in raw on multi track and mixed, processed and polished- with a live transmission, very little can be done but mix it as you then get in to sync issues if different channels are getting processed differently and then have to sync with video.
