You might not like what Blair did but you can hardly accuse him of doing nothing after he was elected.

Wasn't it Thatcher and Co. who sold off just about everything so her cronies could make a quick fortune in the 80's?

Gas...Electric...Water...Steel...Telecoms...

Agree - difficult to really make a major mark in a year following the years of Republican rule.

Don't know why it is but something about the man leaves me cold!!

You disaprove of helping people who work in sweat shops?

" tell u what we will give the banks our tax money then allow those banks to give loans out to overseas company's to buy out british firms ie caburys

We didn't 'give' money to the UK banks - we lent it to them and, if we hadn't, a large section of the population were hours away from finding the cashpoint machine telling them to fuck off.

We'll get the money back and we'll make a profit by allowing the UK banks to make sensible and profitable investments - as opposed to the sort of ninja mortgages they were indulging in previously.

It stopped potential employers from taking the piss!!

"tell u what we will give the banks our tax money then allow those banks to give loans out to overseas company's to buy out british firms ie caburys"

The money has to be paid back, just like every customer that borrowed from them, no one's wrote individual debts off.

as most people on forums know im not a fan of blair and thatcher i will gladly piss on her grave when she is gone!! things have improved slightly with regards to the minimum wage, flexible working, csa etc all things relevant to me and fuel poverty the pensioners payment and emergency fuel payments for low wage households.

as for obama i dont really follow american politics but from the little iv read he seems to be doin ok! xx
