I remember buying a king size one to make a toga out of when i was 8 months pregnant and it was still way too big.
I ended up with a double and instead of trying to tie it i had a nice gold colour swag loop for voile panels its looked nice and was easier than tying...good luck x |

Roman women used clips to hold their tunics together.
So single sheets, clipped/pinned/held with broaches across the shoulders and arms and then a belt to adjust the length.
If all else fails then Google how to draped a toga. |

If the worst slave (waitress) is fed to the lions at the end of the evening, then I guess it is a historically accurate toga party. If not, then you should be safe with the finest bedding Dunelm Mill can offer.... (that's where I get my King Size stuff... soooooo cheap!!! Lol!)

I got a fitted cotton slip from M&S (in the 'old lady' section, what would once have been called a petticoat), and trimmed it up with gold ribbon (along the straps and under the bust) and a gold belt/sandals. Hey presto! A toga-like garment more flattering to the larger figure. |
