Would you say you are a negative person..Always looking at things half empty instead of half full??
I used to be a half empty kinda girl but soon learnt that in order to get through the shit (I have had my fair share). I had to think half full and it has saved me from going completely nuts... |

I look at it as half d*unk I enjoy the bit coming and remember the fun of the bit I have already drank
Happiness is a state of mind.
Even clinical depression can be helped with a positive outlook |

I think most of us are a bit of both depending on the situation
I am quite a positive person, I firmly believe you can achieve anything if you really want it but then there are some point in my life i'm not so positive about |

I generally look on stuff positively.... I don't have the time or patience for people who are constantly looking at the negative and attending their own little pity parties....
I'd rather just have a swinging party |

I go with the flow
This morning was a half empty glass
because my meet was cancelled
This afternoon was a glass half full
because I got a tax refund from the Inland Revenue
Who knows what tomorrow will bring...its not here yet so why worry!

I have always been quite positive - I always think there are plenty of people worse off than me. Also, I find negative people a bit draining so I would not want to be draining on others.
Last but not least it just feels so much nicer to see the world in a positive light. |

Its an academic question as in general people will say they are positive even if they are not as putting out potential issues when you are in general looking to meet people won't help especially in the lip service lounge as it was once described many moons ago. |

Expect the worst, hope for the best...
I would say I try to see things from a realist point of view. I will make a decision on possible outcomes of situations based upon the evidence I have.
I have to be positive for my mental well being and I do not associate myself with those who have a negative outlook. I find negativity without reason infuriating. Negativity very quickly eats away inside me because of my depression so ensure those I keep around me help to bring something positive to my life.

I used to be quite a negative person especially about myself
But getting cancer a couple of years back gave me a reality check
Now I'm happy in my own skin and a lot more positive with everything

Over the rainbow, under the bridge |
I'm pretty upbeat but give a colleague a lift every morning who is so negative it can really drag me down. She's not so much a glass is half empty person as a glass is drained, broken and lying in pieces in the gutter.
She's about 4 months pregnant and even that hasn't cheered her up. Whining about having to pre all the time, can she afford childcare, this or that person at work hasn't congratulated her, her pants don't fit any more, she's tired.
I just put happy tunes on in the car, turn it up and ignore her now.
I fear she may transmit this negativity to her child. |
