PM looking at tighter Porn Controls

It's a disgrace making all ISP's block adult content then making us have to request access. Same goes for types of porn all being done under the banner of protecting children. As parents we have a clean computer that our little one has access to with nothing on it and everything blocked apart from a few sites. I was a child in an age before digital media and I still got my hands on porn before I was 18 never did me any harm and I don't understand why I this day in age the government are messing about with these issues when so much else is more important |

That's one part of the bill making the ISP more responsible for inappropriate images of children but the bill goes a lot further. |

You couldn't walk in woods without seeing mags all over the place 
Just dump all the porn onto the .xxx domain and give parents 1 button to block porn when the kids are in, and unblock it when the parents are alone....

Child porn is already illegal. Regarding Child porn it is all about making ISPs and search engines more responsible for finding and blocking sites.
What I am taking about is the general call of changes for porn, like ISP having defaulting to blocking porn, and some types of porn moving into the Illegal extreme porn category |

Can't see it happening tbh. Can't see the majority of MP's agreeing to the whole IP thing as they will be worried about it getting leaked to the press, that some enjoy BDSM/girl on girl/watersports kind of porn.
Also, just caught a bit of PMQ's where one lady MP asked for the Scum to be banned from the Houses of Parliament due to Page 3, she was basically ridiculed about her clothing from last week and told they have a right as to reading whatever paper they liked.
So no, I can't see that part of the bill being passed. |

i remember thinking i was weird because i had a hairy fanny, when i was at school, until i found my brothers porn mags. how would you know what people looked like in the nude if you didnt see pictures. |

if having small amount control over site like this or porn site could stop child porn then its a price worth paying. maybe porn industry should be saying look we help stop child porn if in return adult porn is allowed ?

Once the government gets it's way (they have wanted this for a loooooonnnng time), then the principle is established that the government can force ISPs to prevent access to content which (like consensual adult porn) are quite legal, just ... inconvenient. Or embarrassing.
The whole google/child porn story is a diversion so you can't see your rights being eroded. Google don't store content anyway, so why pick on them ? And furthermore they already don't index illegal images. You'd have to be the worlds most brain-dead paedophile to type "child porn" into Google ! |

I think its important for society to demonstrate an ongoing campaign of intolerance to the actions of those people intent on making and distributing porn that is of reprehensible content….
But when they are caught the punishment rarely reflects the horror endured by the people who’ve been forced or coerced into performing those vile pornographic acts…
I believe the maximum punishment for downloading or distributing should be sufficiently severe that the penalty for being caught is so high it cancels out the temptation of taking the risk …
I’d like to see the punishment for someone caught downloading or distributing unsavoury porn match the punishment someone would get if they were caught doing whatever offence is taking place within the imagery …….

but who decides what are unsavoury & or reprehensible content ? you me the government the daily mail who as stated elsewear thin end of the wedge allowing government to control what is on the internet
isnt that what we criticise the chinese government for ?
