Nowadays, I play online syndicate games and have to pay extra for the administration work like having the tickets purchased on my behalf at other countries.
On average, about 40 GBP a month, and I buy an additional line when there is a significant rollover.
I am already in 2 syndicates for Fridays Euro Million draw.

I just do the Euro every now and then when actually remember/can be bothered. The normal one just doesn't seem worth doing.
I always remember some guy saying that it is just another poor mans tax, but I guess I'm just a greedy poor man... |

"I always seem to get more than my fair share of wins, nothing too great but always seem to break even and as soon as I lose, that's it for another few months."
If you manage that then you must have a decent strategy. |

I see the wording now being used by the National lottery HQ about their intention to double the ticket price to £2 a play has now been toned down suggesting they might be reconsidering the morality of increasing the ticket price during this period of austerity….
I think it will be a shame if the price increase takes place because I imagine there are a lot of people who might boycott the National lottery and that would mean less money being allocated to good causes……
If it does go ahead, I certainly won’t be buying anymore tickets on the National lottery, I’d rather risk spending £2 per ticket on the Euro lottery and make my own good cause donations by other methods....
