Went for an interview at their HQ in Saint Hill Manor East Grinstead to sort out several years accounts.

Having been shown into an inner sanctum with candles burning etc and being told I would be expected to be resident whilst preparing the accounts I saw the interview out but had no intention of ever returning to the place.

Not a church, but an effective operation for sucking people in and making money.

Founded by L Ron Hubbard - a writer of poor space opera (SF).

They own lots of land and property and own their church members.

Run by not nice people.
