Reading The Game of Thrones series again, 'The Seventies Unplugged' by Gerard DeGroot and ' The Information' by James Gleick.
So a bit of pseudo-Medieval political intrigue, a history of the 1970's defining moments and a history of how mankind has transmitted, used and kept information from African Drums to The World Wide Web. |

I like Jeffery Deaver books but have only read Edge, Garden of Beasts and Carte Blanche by him at the moment so plenty left. I have read all the Andy Mcnab / Chris Ryan books. Enjoyed most of Dan Browns though still haven't read his latest. I also read Clive Cussler now and then and Dale Brown. Non fiction wise generally historical war accounts, 607 Squadron about the Vulcan bombing Port Stanley airfield during the Falklands was quite good. |

Currently re-reading Wintersmith (Pratchett) and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. And also reading John O'Farrell's An Utterly Impartial History of Britain: (or 2000 Years Of Upper Class Idiots In Charge) which is really funny.
Always have a few books on the go. |

Have you read Charlotte Bronte's Shirley? I think it is better than Jane Eyre. |

Yes, read 'Goodbye to all That'
As someone who has read quite a bit of WW1 literature like Seigfried sassoon's 'Memoirs of a Foxhunting Gentleman' Wilfred Owen's 'Dulche et Decorum est' and stuff on W.H.R. Rivers and Craiglockhart, it really is a must read.
All knew each other and stories mesh together. |

Just read two Lee Child Reacher novels, Gone Tomorrow and Echo Burning, a Higgins-Clark I'll walk alone and Caught by Harlen Coben all great to read whilst soaking up the sun!
Watch the North Wind Rise by Graves is a good read
John Steinbecks Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Menare the ones I read over and would never part with! |
