seriously though guys, mom died of heart problems bought on by dibetes, dad died of cancer.I've got 2 younger brothers who are both dibetics. Me, well, I'm A1, I've been having regular health checks for last 10yrs. I'm not dibetic, I've never smoked, rarely drink alcohol, but I like a shag every now and again, lol. I keep myself in reasonable shape, go to the gym regularly and walk my dog every day. There's not a lot more I can do, so what will be will be |

I was on the M1 one night when a lorry went into me 3 times as my car spun round and round. It was like a slow motion movie and all I remember feeling was anger as I had not done everything I want to do rather than fear that I was going to die!
I would hope to be around another 25 and I will be very disgraceful by then and I am going to love that phase of my life. |

We've had two experiences that have made us live our lives for today.
A feind of mine, fit as a butcher dog dropped dead loading his car at 55 and a joint friend of ours same age as K dropped daed just short of her 51st birthday.
Makes you realsie we are all vulnerable. |

It is said that "only the good die young" so I intend to be naughty.
Having had four very close calls to date, I have found that my attitude is that I dont want to arrive at the graveside in a solemn procession, but rather arrive late, skid in sideways with a drink in one hand yelling "yeah, what a ride!"
So far, there doesnt seem to be any hereditary medical problems in my family, so I am hoping to hit 3 figures! |

"In all honesty, dying scares the crap out of me "
That means you spend your life in fear ...... of the inevitable.
Take a leaf from ...uhmm whatsisname ... shit ... tip of my tongue .... oh yeah ....Oscar Wilde..... There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
Think about it and stop being scared. |

And that's what scares me, fear of the unknown, it certainly doesn't rule my life and neither is it an obsession, however, I was brought up within a religious organisation, where, basically, we had it drummed into us year in year out if we sinned we would burn in hell, I'm now older and a little wiser and try not to pay to much attention to any of that mumbo jumbo, but as I said, I guess it's fear of the unknown |

My mum died at 67 my dad at 88. My aunts and uncles are in their 80s and 90s and those that have died died in their 90s.
If life were fair I should have at least another 40 years but knowing my luck will probably work my fingers to the bone like my mum and pop my clogs less than two years after retiring. |

Just remember it's not the fall that kills you, it's hitting the floor ... Avoid the floor and you'll be fine, live for the day cos that big red bus with your name on it could be just around the corner .... Oh yeah! avoid being hit by a bus too |

Now you only had to read the first few posts, decide you didn't like it, then click the 'Back' button on your browser. Didn't you?
The rest of us can then be left to wallow in our own mortality from now until the end of time, can't we? |
