Time, kids, general family and work are bigger fun killers than money, but generally speaking yes those with more money can always spend more of it on thier social life be it swinging, cinema visits, holidays or anything social.
But as you say you can still have a lot of fun without money |

I agree. My children are adults, I don't have any money worries can accommodate at home as can my playmates but it's time.
I tend to play with a regular group as we all have complex jobs and meets can be cancelled at the last moment and although frustrating we know the score and accept that.
My meets don't cost me a penny so yes you can have fun without money. |

My biggest down fall for not meeting is the fact i cant accommodate due to having kids and the fact i cant drive, it very much limits who i meet and how far i can go, because of this i tend to use clubs more than private meets, as there are two clubs very close to me and a couple more not to far away, but clubs are very cheap for single females, some even free, so money isnt a real issue for me to long as they close and taxi'z arnt costing a bomb lol |

been there done it and got the T-shirt as they say. But they also say where there's a willy there's a way
We had two years where it was bad for us and the last year (till October) was really bad on the money front but with true friends we managed to find a way of having fun. We just limted the expenditure and were up front with people.
Oh and the nutters in here keep you (in)sane too lol |

Money does come into it nowadays, a couple or 3 years ago we would book a hotel with a view to meeting couples or singles. If they didn't turn up we had a nice weekend away.
In the current climate we think hard and fast about doing so, a 70 quid hotel room for a night when so called playmates don't turn up is a fair whack to waste.
Now we would suggest either meeting at theirs if we were travelling distance or a local swingers club. If they have can accomodate on their profile but don't want to meet there then chances are they are gonna duck out anyway. If its a club and they don't turn up we still have fun! Just hate the long drive home again afterwards. For us its always a long round trip nearest is 101 club at 70 miles away. |

Money is tight all round, for B&K in you post, what about getting them to pay for the room, instead of you, that way if they are serious of meeting they will pay the bill? just a thought
The again any meet is not free, as you have to take in account travel etc, unless you lucky to find playmates within walking distance

Must admit we had not really thought about it before reading this thread but yes we sometimes spend a small fortune on meets.
Maybe we should re think how we go about organising meetings in future.

Money is definitely a concern and I can see why in the current climate it can curtail people's swinging.
I go to a local club and its £25 entry as I'm a single guy. Fortunately the drinks are cheap and its not far so minimal travel costs but it all adds up.
I worked out how much I'd spent over the last year and it was a lot more than the cost of a gym membership or the dearest golf club membership in the area.
That probably sounds crackers but I was trying to compare it with something! |

Now this is a damn good thread.
I dont have a car but do drive so have to borrow my car from my aprents so have to explain where I am going the best way I can. I am not in paid work so money is a massive problem. Also have young kids with 3 school runs a day and 3 eves a week kids have clubs. Single parent too. So eve meets really hard, daytime is good aslong as they can come to mine and in a small 2 hour window of time. I get 1 weekend in 6 with no kids so tend to arrnage meets for then. Tho I need one night to just sleep!
I cant afford to go to clubs and pay fuel,drinks.... very often. Probably go once every 3/4 months if I am lucky and then its money not spent or more necessary items like food or house bills.
I am very honest with people about my situation but its those who dont mind and understand that make the difference. |

tell me about it
for years I could only meet on a saturday night as lived with my children post divorce and never had any spare cash or time for that matter
Meeting at home was sometiomes an option but I wanted to go out as I was in all damn week
so I guess its why I started to go to a club as its much cheaper for me and as many guys dont/wont/cant accomodate, it suits me fine even now

Yep money was always a problem for me too, living where I do travelling was always involved in my meets and because of the distance they were always overnighters too. This usually meant a hotel and even though mostly my offer of sharing the cost wasn't taken up you still have petrol, food etc etc etc.
And of course as a woman, stockings, heels, sexy underwear etc etc etc doesn't come cheap lol Having said that, it was money well spent, and even though I'm not meeting right now, the contents of my secret drawer still come in very very handy when Furry visits and the kids are out

Clubs are good apart from the travel. We travel from Peterborough to chams. £25 entrance and bring own booze. Great deals in supermarket and a club is cheaper than a night in town plus get the added benifits. Like going to my local in my underwear. And as much sex as you want clubbing without the bullshit. |
