I keep meeting children who are twice the size of their parents. I don't mean the fat ones but the really tall, mature looking ones.
Girls are reaching menarche earlier too.
Is it GM foods, chemicals in our water or just evolution? |

my 12 year old is much older looking than she is, she's about 5ft 8 and has a fully developed woman's figure, you would never believe she was only 12, I get some proper funny looks off people when I say I cant go out as I don't have a sitter as everyone thinks she's about 16 and I get asked why I need a sitter, when I say she's only 12 people never believe me
I do think kids are going thro puberty earlier now days there for appearing older |

My daughter is crazily tall for her age and shes not the tallest girl in class either !!!
Shes over 5ft and she's only 9 and has size 4 1/2 shoes
Im tall and her dad's tall so there is no hope for her - she'll be tall and blonde and locked away until she is 20 |

Not quite recent, but Vince has been 6'2 since the age of 12 and both of his parents are below 5'5.
I just put it down to evolution. People were really short in the past and through the ages we've just got taller and taller.
There was a man behind me yesterday in the train station though who must've been 7'+! I spotted him in my preipheral vision and had to double-check he wasn't standing on anything!!

I have a daughter the same age and same height too.......and size 9 feet.....I really hope her feet stop growing now as getting shoes is not easy !!!!! And every one thinks she's older too, I feel sorry for her sometimes as the brain maturity hasn't caught up with the body yet.
