Have just watched a sex education prog on Channel 4.
All I can say is, it's come a long way since the cartoon book we got shown in 1983.
They showed 5 nude male models to a room full of kids, and interviewed a male porn star about watersports and anal sex with grannies who didn't douch first.
This is where those amazed blinking smilies would be useful..... |

I should have made my 14 yr old watch it but he was watching porn online!!
being serious Ill tell him its on tomorrow to see if he wants to watch it..I though it was really worth watching and educational so its all good lol
We have always been open with our children where sex is concerned and they ask us all sorts of questions..a few months ago my son asked me what bukake was!  |

Totally agree i also caught my 14yr old watching porn a while ago...... i try to be as honest as i can with her even when she asks me what a bj was !!! xxxxx |

my daughter getting sex ed at school, she is 10, came home and said we got the sex movie today, the penis enters the vagina and 4 seconds later sperm is ejaculated and a baby is made!!!! lol lucky woman eh... |

mt eldest came home other day and told me they had been shown pics of verious STIs at verious stages, not really something i want to look at never mind kids lol saying that shes 16 im not sure they show young kids stuff like that |

I didnt see the programme, but in my opinion if it is done in an open, comfortable enviroment then its great. I used to watch programmes with my son and he new about stds same time as he new about wearing a condom to stop pregnancy. He brought a questionaire home when he was about 15 on HIV and some of the answers i didnt know but he did, he also seemed fully aware that people with hiv shouldnt be discreminated against. Hes 18 still a virgin, has told me he doesnt just want to "bang" a girl but wants her to be his friend as well. I explained about relationships and emotions.
When i fount the porn mags he swapped at school in his room i just said it was perfectly normal all boys look at it but just to be a bit discrete as i didnt want them laying around the house.

Saw the first two - the scariest thing was in the first programme. Most of the kids said they'd seen at least one bestiality clip (a horse was mentioned several times). The researcher put the words sex and porn into Google with her pop up filters turned off. Within a few minutes they'd accessed a bestiality web site. A few seconds later they stopped the experiment and contacted the police because a website showing a six year old being raped popped up.
Never mind Daily Mail readers - I was pretty shocked!!

I watched the 3rs prog with the kids at school being shown photos of various STIs and I have to admit it made me a little queazy when I consider how many times we've played and not used any form of barrier when doing oral with other people, we always use condoms for penetrative sex but this programme seemed to be saying that, for some STIs, condoms won't make a blind bit of difference.
